I haven’t been the most fashionable in this weather, thus the lack of blogs…although I guess layering every sweater I own over one another for warmth might somehow be seen as creative?! ;)

OHHH man, do I ever love this jacket. It was nice out today (for Calgary, that is) so this is what I wore:

Jacket: Vintage
Scarf: Target
Cardigan: Urban Outfitters
Dress: H&M
Leggings: Mountain Equipment Co-op :D
Boots: Urban Outfitters
Bag: old!
I had a suuuuper successful shopping day today! Me and my fried Ellena went to a shop called Divine and tried on basically the whole store. This is what I found:

Red vest! Fits me perfectly.

LEATHER JACKET. Finally found one I love.

Knit sweater. The pattern is awesome.

MONKEY HAT! Only thing new out of the lot. Perfect for cold Canadian weather ;)
I’m happy. :D
PS. Tomorrow is me and my boyfriend’s one year anniversary! fdjfkljdskfljdsklf!!!!!!
What I wore to go shopping on 17th ave, an avenue with a bunch of cute little shops and eateries, with one of my bet friends Annalise yesterday.

Scarf: Thrifted (actually a shawl)
Sweater: Thrifted
Jacket: Target
Jeans: Dish
Shoes: Blackspots
Bag: interesting story. Back when my parents were hippies, someone forgot it at a potluck they were hosting and they couldn’t track them down. I found it and claimed it many years later! It says “Once is not enough”.
And if you were wondering, my shopping day was successful! I got a bunch of great art supplies from a local shop.
…I think that this is an area where a splurge (well, $15) is necessary. Moleskine notebooks are my absolute favourite. I always carry a pocket-sized sketch with me for writing to-do lists, drawing, and basically anything else that’s bouncing around my head. It helps me to know that I don’t have to work terribly hard to remember stuff…I can just write it down as long as I have my notebook! These lay flat when you open them, and the paper is wonderful. The features the brand is known for, a bookmark, elastic, and pocket in the back are all put to good use and I love looking through the books I’ve filled up. The best part? They’re gorgeous.

What I really need to do is go on a trip to New York so I have a reason to buy a Moleskine City Notebook…
So today I was supposed to go to a family thing, but I really didn’t feel like it and opted to stay home. I got dressed anyways, so I decided to post it since I’m finally wearing one of the shirts I thrifted so long ago!
(And don’t I just have a lovely expression in this picture? >_>)

T-Shirt: Target I think
Cardigan/shirt/whatever: thrifted
Belt: Thrifted CHRISTIAN DIOR! 50 cents!
Jeans: Shank
Shoes: You can’t see anyway, but I had barefeet!
how late am I on this one…but better late then never, right?!

Hat: Christmas gift
Scarf: Target
Jacket: Target
Jeans: Dish
Boots: Urban Outfitters
Happy 2008!
