I found this adorable and practical bag on eBay and bid on it a couple days ago, and I won it! I love the braided handles and of course, the colour.
I have been avoiding eBay for a while, so now that I have a little extra cash I’m excited to be winning unique stuff again. Can’t wait till it gets here, because it’s already sparking outfit ideas! I might even be able to use it as a school bag. Hmm…
the henry glasses are here!!!
My mom picked me up after school today to go and get my amazing new glasses!
Skirt: Made by me!
Tights: My mom’s
A better shot of the glasses with me making my most attractive face:
Yup. I’m pretty sure that’s what got me the boyfriend! I also bought some red lipstick that hopefully won’t wear off as fast as the stuff I have. Although I’m not hoping too high since it was $5 Revlon as I can’t afford the $25 for MAC at the moment. I need a job!!
…I GOT ANOTHER PAIR OF GLASSES! I’ve been looking for “The Henry Glasses” (given this title by me and my mother, as they are the style of glasses that Henry from Ugly Betty wears) for a long time, and I could never find any in the shops I looked in. And believe me, I looked in a lot!
I had to give up when my glasses got broken and I picked a pair that I really liked, but alas, they were not The Henry Glasses. But then my brother broke HIS glasses (hmm…destrictiveness must be in the genes?) and him and my mom went to get him some new ones. And then they saw them.
Being the amazing people that they are, they took me over the next day, and there they were. They suit my face and they’re unique but not costumey. I go to the best optometrist in the world, and so they gave us a pretty sweet deal on them. And after we claim them on my dad’s insurance, they will have cost us a grand total of $20. I think that’s pretty damn good for the coolest glasses on the planet, no?! I’m picking them up on Tuesday, and oh boy, there will be pictures.
Well, in an unfortunate turn of events, my glasses were broken last night whilst I was having a really fun night with my friends. The frames were broken before (superglue let me keep wearing them for a couple weeks), but one of the lenses gave up and split right down the middle last night! So, without further ado, here are the Burberry replacements I am getting.
They look really round in this picture, but are much more square on my face. I feel like Marie Genevieve Cyr from Project Runway Canada when I wear them, even though mine are not nearly as awesome as hers!
oh my god, the socks.
Why am I so poor?!?!? I was reading I Spy, Thrift Eye and she mentioned a website called Sock Dreams. I’ve been having a little bit of a fashion craving regarding thigh-high socks lately (warm!) so I paid it a visit. I was skeptical at first, as they don’t have the most flashy of webpages, but my mind was changed instantly when I started looking at their over-the-knee socks.
These are the O Chevrons with black details. SOOO CUTE! I’m trying to mix and match more patterns and I think that throwing them in on my socks/tights is a good plan.
I just desperately want to wear these with my bright red skirt and suspenders. AUGH!! JOB! IS! NEEDED!
Lilac isn’t really my colour (and a lot of the other ones are sold out!) but dark red sounds pretty nice for these ones. And if I bought a bunch of socks, I’d have a reason to go find some awesome skirts and dresses to go with them! Hmmm…
Well, hopefully you people out there that have money can enjoy these socks in real life while I just sit here and drool on my keyboard.
Ever since Painfully Hip did a blog about big leather bags, I’ve been thinking of getting one for all my school stuff. It would force me to only bring the necessities to school, and it would match my style a lot better then my big blue recycled one! I was looking around and I found this one:
AAH! I am in love! A perfect size for all my school stuff, and a classic enough look that I can use it for a long time without it going horribly out of style. Pretty well priced too, at just $34. Now I just need $34. Damn…
merry christmas, everyone!
I got my new camera! A Pentax K10D. I’m in love. If you want, you can check out my flickr account.
PS. Like my new hat?! ;)
