Most of you have probably seen this already, but I love it. That goes through my head sometimes!

This whole winter in the middle of April thing? IT NEEDS TO END! I’ve got a whole bunch of skirts that I’m dying to wear but I can’t. Grrr!!! So, for the…third (or possibly fourth) day in a row, I’m not going to post my outfit! Sweaters, jeans, and sneakers just gets boring after a while. And it’s all I’ve been wanting to wear lately! As the weather goes downhill so does my luck…as my boyfriend was walking me to the bus stop on Friday, a car drove by and started pelting us with snowballs. Being the wimps that we are (my boyfriend would tell me to speak for myself here), we ran behind his friend’s house and into the ravine to go to the other bus stop. Of course, me being me, I fell down the hill about 6 times…and one of those times, my wallet fell out of my back pocket! :( We made it all the way to the bus before I realized it was gone, so of course we ran back, but to no avail. His mom ended up having to drive me home through the storm! And it hasn’t improved, either. The sun is trying to break through but no luck. Well, at least I have a chance of finding my wallet when the snow melts, but my outfits might be pretty boring until then…so, just to torture myself, I’m going to post pictures of what I WISH I could wear tomorrow!

Um, oh my god, PERFECTION. The hair, the matchy matchy, and the shapes… and the caption is “taking a break from studying at the library”. Nerd chic done so amazingly well. She also has my dream hair! Maybe I will freeze to death tomorrow but look cute while doing it…I’m inspired now!

I woke up this morning, threw up, and went back to bed, so no daily outfit for today! And I am quite lacking inspiration in the fashion department today as I’m sure I’ll never be able to track down a dress this wonderful…

…and even if I did, there’s no way that I could style my hair that beautifully!

I absolutely love looking through the wardrobe_remix pool on Flickr. There’s so much inspiration and creativity in it! Here are some of my recent favourites:

Mmmm, maxi dress. I noticed myself really drawn to these by the time we got to Old Navy yesterday, but of course I had no money left so I tried to put my blinders on! I used to feel like these dresses were a little frumpy, but the more I see them (especially in interesting prints like this one!) the more I love them. I’m going to have to hunt one down by the time it gets hot here!

Umm, perfectly subtle use of colour much?! Something draws me to this outfit and I totally love it. The clutch is a nice touch too, I’ve got to find one of those!

It had never occurred to me to wear a romper like this, but I completely love this look!!! I think I’m going to be hunting for a strapless romper now.

Cute girl and a cute outfit! This whole look seems really comfy and casual, but still very interesting and put-together. That top is amazing.

In short: I think that everyone who posts pictures in wardrobe_remix should consider donating their very beautiful and interesting clothing to yours truly. ;)

Joni Mitchell inspires me in countless ways. Her music is incredible, and I was so proud when I learned how to play one of my favorite songs of hers (Chelsea Morning). The style that she plays varies album to album, but there is always a strong thread through her work that makes it so completely her own. She’s an activist, an artist, and Canadian, all like me! When she started out in the industry, it was even harder for women then it is now, and I really respect her for making such a huge name for herself. My love for her was inherited from my mom, who has listened to her since forever. Recently I started looking up pictures of her, and she is incredibly beautiful. Her style is effortless and bohemian, and she’s with her guitar in a lot of pictures. And the hair!

I like her jacket in this one, and the snow/rural road behind her. GO CANADA!

She suits the place she is in so well!

What a great dress. And love the bare feet.

I think the above has got to be my favourite…the belt and the necklaces and the sleeves are just PERFECT. And so is the look on her face!

Same dress as a couple pictures ago, and the guitar looks great with it. Her hair is so beautiful! I’m totally growing mine out to look like this.

Beret! She’s still got a subtle style even as she grows older.

The clothes that she wore/wears suit her very nicely, and you can tell she’s comfortable in them. Sigh. I want to be a guitar goddess! Although I think I’ll need a little more then 2 years of practicing to be as good as Joni is.

I absolutely LOVE wardrobe_remix. Unfortunately, since I’m trying to keep my Flickr account to artistic photography and portraits, I can’t bring myself to upload any of my daily outfits…but I sure do browse. So I’m going to imitate a few other awesome blogs I read and post my favourites!

Something about this totally draws me to it. The red tights are perfect! And the detail on the shoes is amazing (click the picture to go to the Flickr page).

You’ve gotta see the detail to appreciate this outfit, especially in the layering of the tights! Simple and lovely, and I could definitely do something like this with the green sweater I bought a couple posts ago.

One of my favourite remixers, it girl_rag doll. So effortless and yet so, so awesome! Especially loving those shoes.

Mmmm, all of these outfits are making me want spring even more, and some more tights, too. I looked EVERYWHERE at H&M but I couldn’t find any! I guess I’m coming at the wrong time of year, which really sucks because it’s not going to be warm enough here for bare legs until May at least. I’ll probably end up going to the Bay and buying black tights in a huge size in the hopes that they’ll stay opaque, but maybe spring will surprise me and show up. Every blog I’ve been reading lately is dying for spring, except for those lucky bloggers who live in the warmer climates, and I’m dying for it too.
