Well, my mono relapse is (hopefully) over, and I’m finally back at school! Yay….TONS AND TONS AND TONS OF HOMEWORK! RIGHT BEFORE FINALS! OH MY GOD KILL ME!

Scarf: Target
Belt: Thrifted
Dress: Vintage (eBay)
Shoes: Thrifted

I was also wearing this with a grey cardigan, but it got WAY too hot out for that or the scarf when I was walking home so I left the cardigan in my gym locker.

ALSO, I thought you guys might want to enter the Favourite Spring Dress contest, if you haven’t yet! The lovely Brenda alerted me to it, but sadly I can’t enter it as I’m not a resident of the USA. :( Which totally sucks, because the prize is something I’d very gladly accept! Well, my loss is your gain so if you live in the states… ENTER!! :D

I think my mood and my life are affected a little too much by the weather. On the long weekend, when it was gorgeous out, everything was completely awesome, but now with my return to school and the weather getting bleary everything’s getting pretty blah. I won’t bore you, but I had an awful day! One of my unfortunate events was losing a ring that was really important to me, that my grandpa had given my mother. I always got compliments on it and it was really special, so I really hope it turns up somewhere but that’s not looking likely. Oh well, at least I was miserable and cute? (I love you, Joe Fresh Style dress that was perfect for the weather.)

Necklaces: Thrifted
Belt: Thrifted
Dress: Joe Fresh Style
Tights: UO
Shoes: Greenwich Village from the Shoe Company

Oh wait…one good thing was greeting me when I got home! :)

New bag that I’d been waiting for!! I love it. It’s in great condition, just worn enough to feel loved but not so worn that it’s going to fall apart at any moment. :D You’re going to be seeing this a lot.

So know how I have been bitching and bitching about the cold? Well the warm FINALLY came, on the day that I decided to wear my wool dress and tights! Should have planned ahead a little better, but I’m still quite thankful for the arrival of summer. Now I just really have to find some high-waisted shorts…

Dress: Vintage
Belt: Thrifted
Tights: Mom’s

Sorry for the late post, I was out seeing the MOST AWESOME MOVIE EVER aka Iron Man! Such a totally cool movie, I really recommend it. These flats were comfy for most of the day, but after wearing them for 18 hours straight (school, then lunch with a friend, then laser tag, then movie), they’re getting a little bit painful around the heels…ouch!

Ahaha, I look like such a dork in this picture, as always!

Tank: AA
Vest: Made by my grandma for my mom a looong time ago
Sweater: Smart set
Pants: H&M
Flats: The Shoe Company

These flats are also surprisingly hard to match with anything. After a while, I gave up and just went monochromatic with the rest of my outfit!

I was listening to Joni Mitchell when figuring out my outfit for today…can you tell? :P

T-shirt: Target
Necklace: My mom’s from when she was in university (whoa!)
Skirt (dress): My friend’s grandma’s hand-me-down
Vest: American Apparel
Shoes: Doc Marten

I also got some new flats today while out on a mission to buy sneakers for running. This makes me feel slightly guilty, since I was set on getting New Balance runners as some of their selection is still made in the USA…and these flats are not. :( But when you’ve got a buy one, get $20 off another pair coupon burning a hole in your pocket and you find some adorable flats, principals can be hard to stick to. I guess I balance it out by buying so much second hand, but I still don’t like supporting sweatshops!

They’re just so comfy and perfect for summer… well, I guess I’m gonna have to get over it this time and at least be happy that I try to avoid slave labor as much as possible otherwise. >_<

I slept in today (oops!) and missed the whole morning, so I didn’t get to wear this for very long, and the belt STILL managed to somehow disintegrate! It was one of those ones made out of some sort of cardboard composite and it got so bad that I just gave up and tossed it. I guess I’m on the hunt for a new belt again!

I Hate The Greenhouse Effect T-shirt: My mom’s
Purple shirt: Thrifted
Jeans: Dish
Shoes: Thrifted

And remember how I lost my wallet? Well, I was walking to the bus stop with my boyfriend, and we found all of my old bus passes with my name and phone number written on the back scattered all over the ground. :( So I don’t think I’m going to see it again! But luckily, I didn’t have anything in it that was worth anything or not easily replaced, so I’m thankful for that. I guess I need to find a new belt AND a new wallet now!

new (well, new to me) skirt

It was nice out again today, so I wore my lovely yellow skirt. With BARE LEGS!!! I came dangerously close to flashing everyone a few times what with the wind, but it was worth it. :D

Shirt: Target
Scarf: Ten Thousand Villages
Skirt: Hand-me-down
Shoes: Grandma’s :P

And, just for kicks, here are some pictures of my newly shaved cat, Floyd. He’s a ridiculous cat in the first place (he’s terrified of our tiny little female cat who could totally kick his ass) but he’s even more funny when he’s a little bit hopped up on anesthetic! His pupils are HUGE and it took me forever to get a shot where he wasn’t darting around the room.

Look at his cute little rolls of skin!! AWWWEEE!!
