acid wash jeans?

I need to make some acid washed denim asap. Sorry to everyone who has been dreading their return, but we cannot deny it any longer, and quite frankly I would love to be the weird kid at school wearing them before everyone else (that is, of course, until they see them in Seventeen and all run to Forever 21 to get themselves a pair). I’m planning on just throwing some jeans in the tub and splattering them with a mixture of bleach and hot water, and then scrubbing them a bit…I’ll let you know how it goes! Oh, and I got my new backpack…it’s beautiful! It’s a German issue rucksack type thing that perfectly fits all my stuff and feels like it will last forever. Since I’m too lazy to take a picture now, you’ll have to wait until tomorrow when I’m documenting my outfit!

I can’t help it. I’m quite attached to my skinnies. For some reason, I feel like if I don’t have something form-fitting on the bottom, people won’t ‘get’ what I’m wearing and will simply think that I am insane. The wide-legged trend that’s been popping up has me recoiling in horror. But I’m ashamed to admit that, whilst I’m doing my daily reading of the Sartorialist and Altamira NYC, I’ve noticed myself wondering if I could pull off some of the interesting pants people are wearing. Now, I know these aren’t the most extreme examples, but bear with me! I’m just venturing into this whole options-other-then-what-I-always-wear thing when it comes to pants.

This is something that I used to do a lot by accident when I was younger as I’m quite tall, so I’ve tended to be pretty self-concious about my jeans being long enough…but if they were cuffed, and drawing the eye to a sweet shoe and sock combination, I might just change my ways.

Hmm…jeans that are a bit baggier, tucked into beautiful boots. Maybe with some of those army boots that I posted! Although, if I’m feeling more feminine, boots more like the ones she has might offset the masculine feel of the pants.

I don’t really LOVE this whole outfit (although it looks good on her, she’s beautiful!) but the pants catch my eye. I can see myself wearing these Annie Hall style with a men’s shirt and suspenders like a few posts ago. Come to think of it, I can probably find some pants like these in any thrift store no problem…hmm…
